Battery and RTC
Dongles with an independent power source and a built-in real time clock.
Dongles can be equipped with an independent power source and a built-in real time clock. Both local and network dongles with RTC are available. The dongle battery lasts for about 3 years of use. When the battery dies, the dongle can be used as the equivalent model without RTC.
The independent battery and the clock in combination with hardware algorithms enable the protection developer to use secure time-based licensing scenarios. Several layers of hardware platform and timer protection make this mechanism even more reliable.
Dongles with RTC
-
Guardant Time
A Guardant Time dongle builds on the advantages of a Guardant Sign dongle by implementing scenarios with the use of a real time clock (RTC).
-
Guardant Code Time
Dongle with loadable code and usage-time-based licensing. The built-in timer can limit both the time of operation of user code and standard dongle algorithms.
-
Guardant Time Net
A network dongle for usage-time-based licensing of software products. Options with the number of licenses varying from 10 to unlimited are available.
